Michael Kaczkowski

Director, Alloplastic - Prosthetic Reconstruction Specialist, Ocularist

Michael Kaczkowski has over 20 years experience in alloplastic/anaplastology reconstruction. He is an artist, inventor, and prosthetic skin technology pioneer. He is known internationally for creating alloplastic skin technologies that can only be recognized as non-flesh under harsh scrutiny. Among these prosthetic and alloplastic technologies include Dermatos®, Livingskin®, Derma~Flex®, MyoDerm,® Derma~Hair® and Derma-Tan® and of course RealLifeSkin™, to mention a few. His technologies are worn by hundreds of patients world-wide and have been highlighted in the press, both locally and nationally, as well as in main-stream international magazines including Men’s Health, The Ladies Home Journal, and Stuff Magazine. Additionally his work has been seen on television broadcasts including The Learning Channel, The Discovery Channel and the hit TV series ER. Mr. Kaczkowski has also been profiled in several national publications and newspapers. He has authored various articles for amputee, prosthetic and health journals, including In-Motion, First Step, In-Step and The World Health Organization Journal. He is an active public speaker, delivering lectures and in-services to many professional organizations, hospitals, rehabilitation centers and private companies both nationally and abroad.



 

Daniel Eaton, BCO, IMFT

Emeritus Director of Ocularistry, Alloplastic - Prosthetic Reconstruction Specialist, Ocularist

Daniel Eaton is currently an assistant clinical professor in the department of surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Science. Dr. Eaton was previously an assistant professor in the department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck surgery, UAMS. He currently holds thirteen U.S. patents with seven U.S. patents pending. He is the founder of the first UAMS incubator to be licensed for commercial utilization. He is a former member of the animal use committee at UAMS and is the author of seventeen medical journal articles and chapters in three medical/surgical textbooks. He received the “Legends” award for cancer research from the American Cancer Society and the recipient of four medical technology and design awards. Eaton is a board certified ocularist and his education includes undergraduate; Arizona State University, graduate; University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine, Hemlock, MI., (biomaterials) and Sahlgren’s Hospital, Gothenberg, Sweden, where he studied Osseointegration under Professor Ingvar Branemark. At present he is also in private practice at Alloplastic Facial Reconstruction in connection with RealLifeSkin.  He is also a research and development consultant for ContourMed, Inc.

Clinic administrator and patient care coordinator for the Southern United States, Christine Tirman, has 30 years experience in the medical field, working with patients who are faced with cancer, trauma, and congenital deformities.  She is also trained in insurance filing, obtaining and dispersing medical records, surgical scheduling and coordination with other physicians and hospitals.  She is part of this team that puts the needs of every patient and family member first.  She is also helpful in explaining the process and procedures that will be experienced by the patient and their family members.
